袜子是穿在脚上的服装，可用作保暖、装饰等。中国古代的袜子是用白布包裹着双脚，然后穿上棉布的袜套，而自从美国人发明了尼龙丝袜后，袜子基本由化学制品-尼龙制作而成，有长袜、裤袜、吊带袜等相继出现。
