肝硬化是肝小葉因某些原因被破壞而其空缺處被結締組織取代，造成觸摸時可感覺到的堅硬稱之。肝硬化最常見的原因是C型肝炎。如果不治療的話則會生活品質低落，而且其過程是不可恢復的，最後的治療必須要肝臟移植。
