功是物理学术语。功定義為力與位移的內積。公式記為

$W\; =\; \backslash int^b\; \_a\; F\; \backslash ,dx$

其中，$W$ 表示功，，$F$ 表示力，而$dx$ 表示與力同方向的微小位移；上式應表示成線積分，$a$ 是積分路徑的起始點，$b$ 是積分路徑的終點。
