A video game console is a machine that allows you to play video games. Video game consoles usually plug into a television and you play using special controllers.
Examples of game consoles include: PlayStation, Nintendo 64, Xbox, Megadrive (also known as Genesis), Nintendo Entertainment System, and Dreamcast. Some video game consoles can also run general software, such as Linux.
