The Middle East is an area of land and group of countries in the continent Asia. The countries are linked because they share history and most of the people of these countries are Muslims.

Some Middle Eastern countries include; Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen, as well as the areas called the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
