Greece (also known as Hellas or Hellenic Republic) is a country in Europe. Greece's history is one of the richest in the world. Its capital city is Athens.

Turkey, Republic of Macedonia, Albania, and Bulgaria share borders with Greece.

Greece became a member of the European Union in 1981 and is considered the economic capital of the Balkans.
