Diagnosis is when a doctor learns that you have a disease. Sometimes doctors diagnose disease by talking to you and looking at your body. Sometimes doctors do tests. Tests can look at your blood. Tests can be x-rays. Tests are ways to see how your body is working.

Diagnosis is also a way of saying a disease. If a doctor says you have diabetes, your diagnosis is diabetes. (So diagnosis is a verb and a noun.)
