Citizenship is the relationship between a person and the country they live in, support, and in return receive protection from. A person is usually a citizen of the country they are born in, but in some situations you can apply to change your citizenship to another country.

To be a citizen allows you to have rights to political participation at a lawful age, a duty to serve and not steal, and lastly it obligates you to help your neighbors and lets you become friendly with your neighbors.

Some have drawn a clear distinction between a citizen, with certain inalienable rights living in a republic, and a subject under the rule of a monarch and living without guaranteed rights.
