BMD (ang. bone mineral density) - mineralna gęstość kości oceniana metodą pomiarową zwaną densytometrią. Polega na prześwietaniu kości promieniami UV pod różnymi kątami i ich analizie. Wyniki podawane są jako stosunek masy do powierzchni - 2D.
