運動（うんどう）とは、

  1. 物体が動くようす。物理学における運動は力学を参照のこと。
    例：ブラウン運動、回転運動、ピストン運動
  2. 健康目的や趣味として体を動かすこと。→スポーツ
  3. 文化的、政治的な目標を達成するための活動→社会運動（キャンペーンとも言われる）
    例：530運動、ナショナルトラスト運動、落選運動
