語彙（ごい）とは、ある範囲（例えば個人や本など）において使われる単語の総称や使える単語のこと。これを体系的に記述研究する言語学の分野を語彙論という。語彙のうち、一般の正常な社会で必要と思われる基本的なものを基本語彙または基礎語彙といい、その数は1500語から3000語といわれている。
