本土（ほんど）とは、ある国において中心となる地域や島を指す言葉である。沖縄や北海道などでは本土とほぼ同義語として「内地」が使われることもある。かつては大日本帝国憲法下の地域を内地、それ以外の地域を外地として区別した。
