メガテリウム (Megatherium)は、新生代第四紀更新世（164万～1万年前）ごろ、南北アメリカ大陸に生息していた巨大なナマケモノの近縁種である。成長すると全長6～8m、体重3tにもなった。絶滅した種であり、現存しない。ただし、UMAとしての目撃例も多数ある。
