アムステルダム島とはインド洋の南にあるフランス領の島。 1522年3月18日、スペイン人（バスク人）のフアン・セバスティアン・エルカーノにより発見された。 この島は火山島だが、現在は活動していない。 面積は55 km²。

85km南には同じくフランス領のサンポール島がある。
