Benelux satellite image.JPG ארצות השפלה הן ארצות אירופה הנמצאות במישור הנמוך של הדלתה של הנהרות ריין, סכלדה ומז. המדינות הנכללות בימינו בכינוי זה הן הולנד, בלגיה ולוקסמבורג, הידועות גם כמדינות בנלוקס.

במאה ה-12 נוסדו בארצות השפלה ערים סביב הייצור והמסחר של בגדי צמר, התעשייה הראשונה באירופה. בערים אלה נכללות לייז', אנטוורפן, בריסל, גנט ואוטרכט.
