A Video Referee, or Instant Replay Official, is someone who is called upon to help adudicate a game. In cricket, the Video Referee is referred to as The Third Umpire.

Mainly used in larger scale games, such as the National Rugby League, QLD Cup and international games of Rugby Union. In ice hockey, he is referred as a Video Goal Judge.
