Systemics can be considered as a new name of all research related to a most general system theory/(systems science). It is defined as an emerging branch of science that studies holistic systems and tries to develop a logico-mathematical framework in which physical, mental/cognitive, social and metaphysical systems can be studied and explained. The systemistic approaches intend to generalize the results obtained in cybernetics, classical engineering systems theory and other sciences.

Every problem is possible to conceptualize from the abstract perspective of universal properties of systems. Therefore systemic/systemics point of view is recently associated with different research and numerous practical domains/problems, for ex. systemic medicine, systemic psychology and ... systemic coaching.

At present, systemics has more questions than answers and therefore it is closely related to the recent studies of contemporary philosophy and intelligence research. From this last perspective new paradigms based on the mental/cognitive properties of intelligent entities/(intelligence-based systems) are defined for a generalized systemics, see socio-cognitive paradigms(TOGA meta-theory, Adam Maria Gadomski,1993).
