The Submandibular Ganglion hangs of the lingula nerve superior to the deep portion of the submandibular gland. It receives preganglionic parasympathetic fibers from the corda tympani nerve. Postganglionic secretomotor fibers are supplied to the submandibular and sublingual glands via the lingual nerve.
