Snow blades are short skis similar to bigfeet. They are increasing in popularity and are now produced by most major ski manufacturers. They are fairly popular in New Zealand and in Europe. "Snow blade" is the trade mark name of the Salomon's short skis. These skis are made for terrain parks and half pipes. Their short length makes them great for spins and flips because of their low mass. Turning is also much easier because there is less to turn. They also make it easier to jump but harder to land.

Snow blades are now also referred to as ski boards.
