Silastic (a portmanteau of 'silicone' and 'plastic') is a flexible inert silicone rubber, used especially in prosthetic medicine to make devices such as shunts to control hydrocephalus, heart valves and breast implants. The chemical name for Silastic is polydimethylsiloxane.

Silastic was developed and patented by John Holter.
