Rhinitis
 

Rhinitis is the medical term describing irritation and inflammation of the nose. Symptoms include a runny nose, sneezing, congestion and irritation in the nose, eyes, throat and ears. It is related to and often occurs together with other disorders such as asthma and sinusitis. It is chronic or acute inflammation of the mucous membrane of the nose due to viruses, bacteria or irritants. The inflammation results in excessive mucous production producing a runny nose, nasal congestion and post-nasal drip.
