Radon fluoride is a compound of radon, a noble gas. Radon reacts readily with fluorine to form a solid compound, but this decomposes on attempted vaporization and its exact composition is uncertain.Stein, L. (1970). Science 168: 362. Calculations suggest that it may be ionic.Pitzer, K. S. et al. (1975). J. Chem. Soc., Chem. Commun. 1760. The usefulness of radon compounds is limited because the radioactivity of radon: the longest-lived isotope has a half-life of only 3.82 days.
