Punk revival came around in the ninties with bands that wanted bring back punk or keep it going. Some punk revival bands were very successful, such as Rancid or The Casualties. Punk revival bands have continued to show up even into the twenty-first century, and is now somewhat related to emo music. The mohawk has become very revived and is now growing in style, and many other punk trends are coming back as well. Fortunately, because of the revival of punk new forms and fashions of punk rock have spawned, and it is almost as if punk has been taken to another level. Many people think that punk is dead and gone, and that new punks are just posers. Others say that good music should never die out and punk will never die. Some have developed catchy phrases, such as "Punk's not dead, it's just resting".
