Pityriasis commonly refers to flaking of the skin. Types include:

• Pityriasis lichenoides chronica
• Pityriasis lichenoides et varioliformis acuta
• Pityriasis rosea
• Pityriasis rubra pilaris
• Pityriasis versicolor

It can also refer to a bird, the Bornean Bristlehead (Pityriasis gymnocephala).
