ObsCure is a survival horror game that was developed by Hydravision and published by DreamCatcher Interactive for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC. It was released in North America on April 6, 2005 and October, 2004 in PAL regions.
Some strange things seem to be happening at Leafmore High. Four teenagers set out to search for their missing friend. They’ve locked themselves inside the school so that they could get to the bottom of the strange occurrences.
One of the most notable features is the ability to tape a flashlight to any firearm. Some critics, including the review show X-Play, have stated that this was the only redeeming quality, and mocked id's Doom 3 for not implimenting such a concept. In addition to the flashlight, ObsCure features a two player co-op mode. The two-player option becomes unavailable if more than 4 students in the group die. Each character in the game has a special ability that helps in some areas, but it is not necessary to use a specific character in any part of the game if others are available.
ObsCure also contains tracks performed by the punk bands Sum 41 and Span.
