Mold Remediation

Mold Remediation is the process by which a certified and or trained professional performs a the removal and or clean up of mold from an indoor environment. Mold is normally found indoors at levels that do not affect most healthy individuals. When these levels become abnormally high as determined by indoor air quality testing or a mold inspection (usually 5-10 times that of outside levels) remediation is recommended to be carried out by a professional remediation company.

Four critical steps in effective mold remediation:

  1. Containment: Before any project begins our technicians isolate the area of contamination, ensuring that mold spores are not spread to other portions of the home.
  2. Filtration: HEPA air filters and negative air machines run continuously throughout the project. Mold spores, dust, MVOC's, gaseous compounds (ie: Radon) and other airborne debris are removed from the air.
  3. Removal & Cleanup: Contaminated materials that cannot be properly cleaned are removed according to mold remediation standards. Sheetrock, carpet, furniture and other damaged materials will have to be replaced to avoid mold from returning.
  4. Replacement: When possible, all opportunities to save and salvage contaminated items will be taken. But there are situations when that's not possible and its best to replace and fix the damage.
