• A truck, a large motor vehicle designed for carrying goods. Lorry is the British English expression.
• An open railroad car (gondola) with a tipping trough, often found in mines.
• A lorry (horse-drawn): a heavy, low-loading, horsedrawn vehicle having a platform body with four small wheels mounted beneath it. The driver's seat was mounted on the headboard. (Old usage; this is the original meaning).
