Knoll Pharmaceuticals had been taken over by Abbott Laboratories on 30th June 2002, at least in India and in most parts of Asia.
Knoll is also the name of a company that produces office furniture systems. Founded in 1938 by Hans Knoll, the company has been recognized as a worldwide design leader. The company sells furniture for the home by design greats such as Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Harry Bertoia and Eero Saarinen.
Joseph Knoll is a drug researcher, who has developed (-)deprenyl, (Selegiline). This was the first selective inhibitor of MAO-B.
