Greenspace is a term used to describe the areas in a city or dense suburb where plants are growing. Yards, parks, and undeveloped land are all included in the greenspace of a place. Urban planners are slowly starting to incorporate serious studies of greenspace into their work. Planners, governments, and communities see that there my be a social and psychological benefit to having more natural areas for humans to interact with and enjoy. The term "wildspace" is similar, and suggests that spaces left wild are necessary for the health and wellbeing of urbandwelling humans, as well.

Greenspace is also a four piece indie band from Newcastle, which formed in mid 2003. They are not currently signed to any major or established indie labels, however they have been releasing music on there own independent label "Spacebadger".
