A glucose test is a type of blood test used to determine the amount of glucose in the blood.

There are several different kinds of glucose tests:

A range of 4 to 7 mmol/l before a meal is normal.

A level of < 10 mmol/l 90 minutes after a meal is normal.

A range of 7 to 8 mmol/l at bedtime is normal.

After a 12 hour fast a range of 3.9 to 6.5 mmol/l is normal. (a level of 6.7 to 7 mmol/l is considered a sign of prediabetes)
