A football team is the collective name given to a number of players who play together in a football game, be it American football, Association football (soccer), Australian Rules football, Gaelic football, Rugby league, Rugby union, or other version of football.
Often used as an alternative to the phrase "football club", the team can refer to an incorporated club that might have several individual teams in different divisions or leagues.
