This article is about the geographic feature; see also Fell (comics) for the comic book published by Image Comics.

In geography, a fell is a treeless mountain landscape that has been shaped by glacier ice earlier in history. It is the name used in the North of England, especially in the Lake District, for a hill or mountain. The valleys are known as dales.

Fell comes from Old Norse, the language of the Vikings (in Norwegian the word Fjell means mountain) whereas the words hill, down, or tor, used in the South, have their roots in Old English or Celtic.

Saariselkä, in Lapland, Finland, is the world's most northern fell village.
