Fantasy Wargames are a form of Miniature wargaming that involves fantastical, non-realistic rules and items (such as magic). It eventually led to other forms of roleplaying games, such as Dungeons and Dragons.

The miniatures used represent troops, including fantasy races (elves, trolls, orcs, zombies etc.) and magic-using troops (wizards, psychics, witches, sorcerers, etc.), which distinguishes it from other miniature wargames which are usually historical in nature.
