Exclusive monotheism is the belief of monotheism without the acceptance of any other form of monotheism or polytheism. While most modern monotheistic faiths are exclusively monotheistic, Ancient Egyptians were both monotheistic (belief in Amen, king of the gods) as well as polytheistic (local and regional deities).
