eDeveloper by Magic Software Enterprises (Nasdaq:MGIC), is a composite application development environment that allows the rapid creation and customization of large-scale and complex distributed applications. In eDeveloper, complete application functionality - including data structures, business rules, program logic and presentation - is developed entirely in a table-driven, point-and-click programming environment. There is never any need for coding or proprietary script.

Prior to the release of eDeveloper V9 in 2001, the development tool and deployment environment was simply known as 'Magic.'

Beginning with version 8 of Magic, the delivery platform for this platform became highly scalable and included optional partitioning servers that overcame limitations in scalability of prior client server deployments.

Developers using Magic won the Droege International Development competition until the final year of the competition when programmers using Magic, known as "Magicians", took all five top places in the competition. The competition was cancelled, according to the organizers, because other software tool programmers were no longer willing to participate.

With the release of eDeveloper V10 in March 2006, Magic has gained the attention of analyst group Gartner, who have designated Magic Software Enterprises a visionary in the Integrated Services Environmnet category for its work with eDeveloper and a related business process integration solution, iBOLT.
