Dude Ranch is a blink-182 album that was released on June 17 1997 by Cargo Music/MCA. This was blink-182's second album, containing songs such as "Dammit" and "Josie" that helped the group gain popularity. Other highlights include "Dick Lips", "Voyeur", and "Untitled". This was their last album with drummer Scott Raynor. The album was a great success, being certified platinum and having sold over 1 million copies to date.
Degenerate is a song written by Tom DeLonge, and was first released, in a slightly different form, in the 1993 release of Buddha. It describes an alcoholic who keeps getting taken to prison for his actions where he receives the consequences from his prison-mate "Ben Dover". Degenerate is one of blink-182's first "joke" songs.
