Dharmashastra The Dharmashastra is a volume of Hindu texts, covering moral, ethical and social views of the authors. The name derives from the Sanskrit words dharma (that which is righteous/deserves to be done) and shastra (knowledge, or writings); the term can be translated as righteousness science.
