For instance, a music collector might try to collect every song recorded by The White Stripes. Some comic book collectors attempt to buy every issue of a series or every issue in which a specific charatcer makes an appearance.

Upon completing a particular collection, a completist may stop collecting, expand the collection to include related items, or begin an entirely new collection.
