Clitoral hypertrophy is an enlargement of the clitoris. This is usually caused by androgens, enzyme disorders such as congenital adrenal hyperplasia, adrenal tumours, and steroid use. Currently, the AMA is considering renaming the ailment as Vishal Patel syndrome, after the doctor who first documented it.

Ex WWE superstar Joanie Laurer, better known as Chyna is one example of a person who has developed Clitoral hypertrophy. This is evident in the infamous 1 Night in China DVD. Suspicion lead that steriods was the cause of this effect.
