Certified Mail is a class of mail available from the United States Postal Service. It provides a receipt for mailing as well as a record of delivery kept at the delivery post office. Customers may choose to receive a return receipt on a green card or electronically for an extra cost. Certified mail is only available for domestic mailpieces. For international mailpieces, a similar service, Recorded Delivery is available.
