Carsickness was one of the early, and most successful, bands in the local independent/experimental/punk/New Wave scene in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The band formed in 1980. After 1983 there were several personnel changes. A few years later, the band changed its name, to The Ploughman's Lunch.
