Caravan parks are privately-owned locations which provide a stopping point - overnight or for weekly stays - for people traveling in a caravan, also known as a trailer or motorhome. A fee is usually required and some also encourage bookings during peak season. Occasionally they cater to campers with tents as well, and some have cabins and motels as alternative accommodation. They are generally located near areas of natural beauty or tourist interest.
