For the game, see Billiards.

In some countries and languages using the long scale:

one billiard = 1\,000\,000\,000\,000\,000 = 10^{15} = one short scale quadrillion.

In the traditional long scale usage of the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, and Australia, this word is not found, with the meaning of a number, being replaced by "thousand billion".

In modern English usage, it is replaced by the short scale "quadrillion".
