Beast is another name for animal, usually one that is particularly large and dangerous. In the UK and Australia, the word "beast" may be used as the singular form of the animal collectively referred to as cattle. Also beast can be slang for meaning someone is really good at something: "Gerald is a beast at drawing" or "Ross is a beast with the ladies" It could mean that someone is a person to look up to or that someone is very popular or cool: "Kokovic is a beast". It could mean something is exxagerated or filled with elements that push it beyond a level of reality: "That movie was beast (or beastly)" or "Mark is a beastly eater". It could, although less commonly be used to describe something or someone particularly unattractive: "Star Jones is a beast." However it can be used as a verb as well, and usually describes when someone goes over the top with something or does something particulary good or bad: "John beasted at guitar."
