Surat Al-Burooj ( , the stars) is the 85th sura of the Qur'an with 22 ayat. According to Ibn Ishaq, whom most tafsirs follow, the "people of the Ditch" whose persecution it condemns are the Christians of Najran killed by Dhu Nuwas.
