Zoic Studios - written as ZOIC - is a special effects company based in Culver City, California which primarily deals with computer generated special effects for movies and television. Zoic is a Greek word meaning "life". ZOIC has done effects for such popular shows as Firefly (which earned the team an Emmy) and the reimagined Battlestar Galactica. They have also done production on numerous computer video games and effects for television commercials.
