ZOO Digital Group Plc. is a company based in Sheffield, UK that facilitates the operations between its publishing company ZOO Digital Publishing and its DVD and Video Production software company ZOOtech.

The company was formed following the reverse take over of the publically listed Kazoo by ZOO Media Corporiation.

ZOO Digital Publishing


ZOO Digital Publishing is a software publisher, primarily focusing on releasing video and console games for Sony PlayStation2, Microsoft Xbox, PC, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, Mobile phones and PlayStation in Europe and in Australia. In Australia they publish titles but operate with Home Entertainment Suppliers to distribute them.

Some of the high profile games they publish from other developers are;

ZOO Digital Publishing also develops DVD TV Games designed to operate on stand alone DVD players, using software developed by their sister company ZOOtech, known as DVD-EXTRA technology. Some examples include Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Wallace and Gromit -The Interactive DVD, Guinness World Records, Manchester United -The Interactive DVD and Interactive Championship Challenge.

ZOOtech


ZOOtech is ZOO Digital Group's software development team based in Sheffield that researches and produces new technologies to be used internally to develop projects and/or to be licensed to other companies.

DVD-EXTRA

DVD-EXTRA is a technology used to produce interactive software for stand alone DVD players without needing to use the typically complex conventional DVD authoring equipment.

Kazoo


Kazoo is a series of technologies that contains a library of pre-built 3D models, photos, lighting sets, paints and easy GUI tools that can be used to produce 2D and 3D effects without a technical background.

This technology has been used to produce 3D and printing consumer based software packages like Home Creative Studio (HCS) and KazooStudio.

The Kazoo software originates from the company of the same name prior to the merger with ZOO.
