Ysleta was a town in western Texas. A mission, Corpus Christi de la Isleta, was established in the area in 1682 by Antonio de Otermín and Fray Francisco de Ayeta.

The terms of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo made Ysleta part of United States territory.

The city of El Paso annexed Ysleta in 1955, over the objections of Ysleta's residents.
