XULRunner is a product in development which will serve as a runtime environment for XUL applications. All XUL-based applications like Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, and Songbird will be able to run on XULRunner. It will provide mechanisms for installing, deploying, upgrading, and uninstalling these applications.

The first stable developer preview of XULRunner was released in February 2006.
