Trivia
- The Blue Blazer was played by Owen Hart, making his debut at this show.
- Shawn Michaels made his WrestleMania debut at WrestleMania V as part of the tag team "The Rockers."
- This show features legendary Horsemen Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard's only WrestleMania match.
- During a bodyslam in the tag team match between the Bushwhackers and the Fabulous Rougeaus, one of the Bushwhackers grabs the crotch of Ray Rougeau. Often wrestlers will play practical jokes on each other while in the ring, perhaps explaining the motive for this.
- More seats were added to the Trump Plaza to increase the attendance from the prior WrestleMania which was also held in the Trump Plaza.
- The WrestleMania IV ring aprons from the previous year were reused here with the "I" in "IV" taken off.
- The Ultimate Warrior nearly seriously injured Bobby Heenan when he gorilla pressed him. Warrior did not bother to drop Heenan safely, instead simply letting him crash to the mat. Heenan made reference to the incident on the WWE produced DVD The Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior.
- Hulk Hogan defeated Randy Savage to become WWF Champion in the main event of WrestleMania V – the first of three times Hogan would win the title at a WrestleMania. At WrestleMania VII, he defeated Sgt. Slaughter for the title, and at WrestleMania IX, Hogan beat Yokozuna.
- WrestleManias IV and V are the only two WrestleManias to be held at the same place for two consecutive years.
